Updates 12/03/04 Added a gallery of adverts for 1930's businessess. ________________________________________ 04/02/04 Added the site search box, works pretty well, quietly impressed. ________________________________________ 01/02/04 Added the childrens section Black and white pictures of local landmarks for your little demons to print out and colour in. ________________________________________ 27/01/04 Added the useful phone numbers and maps. ________________________________________ 01/12/03 Stuck in the translation device, must make the site accessible to our european cousins. ________________________________________ 01/09/03 TADA! Big changes! this site is now only for information about the town of Barnard Castle and surrounding areas. All the other stuff has been moved to Barney Life (http://www.barneylife.co.uk) I have removed the site updates not relevant to this site any more. ________________________________________ 03/07/03 Added new links to most of the links pages, would I add them if they were no good! 28/07/03 Added Village Life (http://www.villagelife.me.uk) another of my sites. It's in its early days so be nice! 28/07/03 Added some pictures of the old railway to the pictures section. 01/06/03 Pulled the chat room........ More complaints than users, if anyone wants it back let me know and I will place it somewhere discreet. 16/05/03 Added the Virtual Tour, took some months to sort that one out, think I need to start drinking again! 28/04/03 Added a discussion forum and chatroom. The chatroom was a request but if it turns out not to be popular I will pull it. 10/04/03 Added the guestmaps (yes 3 of them!). Guest maps are shared with Barney Life (http://www.barneylife.co.uk) 16/03/03 Added Interactive Flash Map of the town. 	Barnard Castle Life ..... History Started work on the site in July 2002, this is a one person effort. The site has gone through at least 3 major re-designs since I started, I hope you like this one. Be warned, this web designing thing is addictive! The only reason I started was to see how to design a simple web page and get it on the web, next thing I knew it grew to this! If you have a life leave computers alone, if you have time on your hands then why not...... Guess how my life is shaping up!
