The Montalbo Hotel is situated at the top of town in a quiet residential street only 5 minutes walk or ten minutes stagger to the centre of town. Pleasant enough pub with restaurant and as stated it is a hotel.
Popular with the locals around the area, an older (that is not many under 25) person type of pub, can be very unfriendly to the drinking man so adjust your head to prepare for it.
Not on the weekend route because of its location and not on an all day bender route because of it's opening hours, but then again I don't think they would appreciate a bunch of drunken people lowering the tone.
